9 Months!

Holy crow! My babies have been outside longer than they were inside my belly! There are still days I look at them crawling around the house and still can't believe we have twins....but I wouldn't trade it for all the riches in the world!



Reese and Ava 9 months! (The date stamp is totally wrong...I need to fix that.)



Reese

Weight: Around 16-17lbs (we go to the Dr. next month)

Height: Not so sure...but she is tall!

Size Clothes: Some 6-9 months but mostly 9 months

New Milestones: where to begin?? She just started clapping her hands all the time! She likes to play Patty Cake and will lift her arms up when you say "So big." She has conquered crawling and can go pretty fast. I call her Spider Monkey because she still puts her leg way out to the side and pushes off. So cute! She pulls herself up on furniture, toys, Mom and Dad. Still my little chatterbox and has been saying "ma ma ma" I know she doesn't know I'm Mama but it still makes me smile!

Milestones you think LO is close to: She is practicing feeding herself finger foods. We put puffs, yogurt melts, and Gerber cheesy poufs on her highchair tray to allow her to learn the pincer grasp and putting the food in her mouth. She is getting much better at it and I'm sure in a matter of time she will have it down. She still needs to hold her own bottle but she is kind of a Princess and likes it done for her. :) She also tries to walk along the furniture and I'm sure she will conquer that in the next month.

Sleeping: She sleeps great through the night...most of the time. Naps are another story!!

Favorite Activity/Toy: She still loves her little duck squeaker and is always gnawing on that. She also likes to bang blocks together. Reese likes to crawl under things, like the exersaucer and the activity table...although she sometimes has a tough time getting back out.

Amount Eating: Still eating about 5oz of formula and a step 2 container of baby food 4x day.

 Ava

Weight: 16-17lbs

Height: not sure right now....but she's a tall girl

Size Clothes: Some 6-9 months but mostly 9 months

New Milestones: Ava is a pro-crawler. She can get anywhere and get there fast! She pulls herself up on to anything and everything. She has started to show an interest in music and has some killer dance moves! She has been more talkative lately and really likes to squeal.

Milestones you think LO is close to: Ava has started to move herself along the furniture but when she gets frustrated she gets down to crawl instead. I'm sure within the next month she will be cruising along. She has been practicing feeding herself and has gotten pretty good but still perfecting that pincer grasp.

Sleeping: Ava sleeps great through the night but naps are difficult during the day.

Favorite Activity/Toy: She loves this little round puffer fish bath toy. She is borderline psychotic about it. She does not let go of it in the bathtub and has to take it out after bath. If she drops it or someone takes it from her, she screams like someone broke her leg! She also really likes these little balls that make different kinds of noises. Oh yeah...and the dogs' toys are fun too.

Amount Eating: Still eating about 5oz and a container of baby food 4x per day.

Ava 9 months

8 Months!

I figured I'd better do an 8 month post before I blink and they are 9 months. Here goes...

Reese and Ava are 8 months old!!

AVA

Weight: Around 16lbs

Height: not sure

Size clothes: She can wear a few clothes that are 6 months but mostly in 6-9 or 9 months.

New milestones: Ava has picked up crawling and crawling pretty fast. She can sit up from laying position...making naps much harder! She is really happy when someone holds her hands and she can "walk" or hold on to furniture. She isn't quite balanced enough to hold on all by herself yet. She is much more vocal...laughing and talking often. She can sort of give a kiss but its more like laying her wide open mouth on your mouth!

Milestones you think LO is close to: I think she is close to pulling herself up on furniture by herself and moving along it.

Sleeping: Ava sleeps through the night from around 8pm until 5:30am. She takes about 3-4 naps a day but they seem to be getting shorter in length.

Favorite Activity/Toy: She loves "walking" or standing up playing on her activity table.

Amount Eating: She eats about 5oz formula and a container of step 2 babyfood 4x day.

Size clothes: She can wear some 6 month clothes but she is mostly wearing 6-9 or 9 months.

New Milestones: Reese is really good at getting into a sitting position from laying down. She is crawling more often but is still a little awkward at it. She babbles all day long and likes to say "bwa...bwa...bwa"...she is my little chatterbox. She likes to "walk" while someone holds her hands or stand up holding on to the couch/chair.

Milestones you think LO is close to: She will pick up crawling fast pretty soon. She will also start pulling herself up onto things in the next week or so, I'm sure.

Sleeping: Reese sleeps through the night from about 8pm until about 5:30am. She takes around 3-4 naps per day.

Favorite Activity/Toy: She likes to stand up and play on her activity table and "walk."

Amount eating: She eats about 5oz of formula and 1 container of step 2 babyfood 4x/day.
